Hello kiddies, Johnny Quisp here.
But you can call me Jon Mitchell. I'm here to tell the real story behind this EP. Let's start with the personnel:

Jon Mitchell: Vocals
Steve Reddy: Guitar
Paul Anthony:Bass
Curt Casner: Drums

The band began life in August 1988 as Re-Animated Flesh. It later became Evil Knievel's Tricycle(actually the name that was in use when these tracks were recorded) then Quisp, and finally The Quisp Brothers.

Now this is the deluxe version of the tape that was not released at Wyatt Earp's(In fact the released version was barely available, we sold 3 copies before it got pulled, more about that later) The actual track listing is as follows: 1. Pretty Vacant 2. Money Money Money 3. Julie Newmar's Tale 4. Bella Lugosi's Dead 5. Vertical Slam 6. I Got A Right 7. My Old Lady 8. Fuckin' Bitch. Now, the above lineup applies to the first 6 songs. The last two were recorded with Paul's new band at the time, Messiah Groove(who later became Mercedes Wrex). Their Guitarist was Bruce Marinkevicz, and the Drummer was Adam Root. So to get back to the story, Evil Knievel's Tricycle(or The Quisp Brothers) were to play their first(and last) gig on October 31st at Curt's Halloween party. We were supposed to play 3 sets(we were mostly a cover band and our repertoire consisted mostly of 70's punk covers from The Sex Pistols, Ramones, Velvet Underground, The Cramps, Stooges, Gun Club, New York Dolls, and here's the two oddballs: Frank Zappa, & Pink Floyd) and about 20 minutes before we were supposed to play, Steve leaves with some chick and says "I'll be right back". Well he comes back at about 12, totally fucked up, we're all pissed and Curt was about as fucked up as Steve. So we play about 3 songs(poorly) and Curt throws his drumsticks across the room and says"Fuck this". I should probably mention that I was living in Detroit at the time and came to town on the weekends for practices and whatnot. So party's over, Curt kicks me out because he's trying to hook up with this girl that I went to school with, it's about 3:00 in the morning and I have nowhere to go, so I drive drunk back to Detroit. Well, some time later Paul comes up with the idea to put out this tape which was comprised of practice sessions recorded on a reel to reel deck.(That's why it sounds better than your average home recording) My Old Lady was an Evil Knievel's Tricycle song that never got recorded, so we got together at Paul's place(Messiah Groove & myself) for the sole purpose of recording that song and tacking it on at the end. Well, Paul came up with the music for Fuckin' Bitch before we got there, showed it to us and in a matter of about 20 minutes or so I came up with the lyrics, so we recorded that as well. I actually held on to that song for quite some time and used to do it with my band in Greensboro some years ago. After hearing the original version again I'm amazed at how much it changed over the years. So we release this tape under the Hemlock Therapy pseudonym(Paul's idea) as our revenge and it sold 3 copies, one of which was bought by John Vamoshy who recognized Julie Newmar's Tale as being a song that Steve Reddy brought to the Guiltys when he was playing with them the first time. (Why it was rejected I'll never know) So Steve goes into Earp's and tells him not to sell anymore, and takes the last two copies from him. I ran into those guys a couple years later at The Hot Rock and they actually apologized for ruining the band and it was all water under the bridge. So that's the story. I just found out today from Aaron that this was here, and I don't even own a copy of it anymore. So thanks Aaron, and also thanks to Ben Hamper(where I'm assuming he got this from) and last but not least, to the 66 people who have downloaded it(I'm very curious as to who that might be). I can be reached at jonman2006@gmail.com if you'd like to send me any comments or have any questions, or just wonder whatever happened to me. Oh, and I will be coming to Flint for a visit in early June so if anyone would like to get together for drinks or whatnot, we can arrange something to that effect.
